The First Ever BC ARCHERY TAG Tournament is not tag, and it’s not archery, it’s a shower of raining arrows.
A crowd of eager teammates waited to show off their skills, and to win a $50 gift card to Pizza Hut. This was a first-time event on campus for dorms.
The event was in the Murphy gym, from 8 to 10 p.m. February 27, where some people stayed to watch the final contenders for the royal matchup.
There were 16 teams with five people per team equalling to 80 people that signed up.
Two teams were against each other in a friendly competition, where they hoped to win the golden prize for the evening meal.

The rules were the same as dodgeball but played with arrows.
There was a crowd favorite competitor, The famous “doorman” icon Jacob Volpe.
The crowds cheered his name.
After being shot, Volpe said “It looks and feels like a marshmallow.”
The competitors rushed to get their arrows or bows, a couple of them rustled with each other.
Each game is around seven minutes and whoever hits the bullseye target across the gym automatically wins the round and the match resets until the remaining time runs out.
Christopher Coyne and Emily Lines were in charge of putting together this event.
This event took two weeks to organize, according to Lines.
“My favorite part was watching everyone having fun, smiling, laughing, and seeing their competitive side,” Lines said.
The events that organizers set up are for students to socialize after school hours.
“The ultimate goal is to build a better sense of belonging, and get to know the fellow students or residents on campus,” Coyne said.
