Benedictine College Women’s Track and Field Team participated in the 2026 Heart of America Indoor Conference Championship this past weekend at Northwest Missouri State University. The Women ended the competition placing 2nd among 21 teams.
The Women’s Team had an overall great performance, scoring a total of 179.5 points, just 22 points behind first, Central Methodist University.
7 athletes earned the title of First Team All-Conference, meaning they finished first place in their event:
Women’s Triple Jump – Madison Helten
Women’s 4x800m relay – Anna Campbell, Annie Wilken, Siena Michael, and Ceci Campos
Women’s 5000m – Betsy Skendzel
Women’s 1000m – Ceci Campos
Women’s 3000m Race Walk – Leah Kuhn
Women’s 800m – Ceci Campos
11 athletes earned the title of Second Team All-Conference, meaning they finished second in their event:

Women’s 5000m – Catherine Aaron
Women’s 4000m Distance Medley Relay – Siena Michael, Kailyssa Caudle, Michelle Zarybnicky, and Catherine Starrs
Women’s 4x400m relay – Brynna Gormley, Antonia Smith, Ceci Campos, and Anna Campbell
Women’s Pentathlon – Maria Connealy
4 athletes earned the title of Third Team All-Conference, meaning they finished third place in their event:

In addition to these excellent performances:
Ceci Campos was named the 2026 Heart Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Co-Track Athlete of the Meet as she earned the most points of any female athlete at the 2026 Heart Indoor Championships with 24.50 points. Campos was an individual champion in the 800m (2:17.51), the 1000m (2:59.51), and was part of the 4x800m relay (9:32.55)
Betsy Skendzel was named the 2026 Heart Women’s Indoor Track & Field Freshman of the Meet as she earned the most points of any freshman female athlete.
Jacob Cofer was named the 2026 Heart Women’s Indoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year
The Women’s Team is sending 12 women to the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship in Gainesville, Florida March 5-7.
