Benedictine College’s Student Government Association (SGA) held their Spring Club Fair on Thursday, Jan. 22nd from 6:30-8:30 p.m. inside the St. John Paul II Student Center, with around 12 student organizations in attendance.
The event showcased a number of clubs and opportunities for students to get involved on campus. SGA hosted the fair to encourage more student engagement and provide students with information about organizations ranging from academic to service and recreational clubs.
Sophomore SGA senator Carolyne Argana said, “we’re here for the students, anything they need,” emphasizing their work to help the raven community through communications, dining, and campus development committees.
Turning Point USA, which began in the fall of 2025, has plans to continue meeting this semester and host different events. Their first event will be in collaboration with Ravens Respect Life during Social Justice Week and will include a talk on the Catholic perspective of the death
penalty.
Communion and Liberation University (CLU) shared their mission to bridge faith with everyday life through weekly meetings, reading about Fr. Giussani, shared meals and community service opportunities.
One of Benedictine’s newest clubs, Benedictine College Motorsports, drew a large crowd. The club began this past year and has already gained around 40 members. They are currently building a formula-1 style car, built up to SAE International regulations, to race in
Michigan this May.
Other clubs present included Saints Women’s Rugby, Benedictine Betterment Society, Thomistic Institute, Eco-Stewardship, Latin Mass Society and Student Government Association. The SGA Spring Club Fair successfully provided students with information and
opportunities to be more involved in campus life
