There are many ways to celebrate Halloween as a college student.
Many students at Benedictine College enjoy the frights, spooks, and childhood joys of costume parties, trick-or-treating, and Halloween parties on All Hallows Eve.
When coming to Benedictine they wonder what fun events they can attend or what fun activities they can do to celebrate the spooky season with their friends.
Some students chose to stay in, however, and throw their own little Halloween party or movie night while relaxing and enjoying the crisp autumn air.
Other students dress up in costumes for Halloween and go out.
Many of the local residents in the surrounding neighborhood, as well as Benedictine College upperclassmen in off-campus houses, pass out candy to trick-or-treaters.
For students who love haunted houses and scary sites, there are a few attractions right outside the door.
In Atchison, there are different events offered to the public, such as ghost hunting in Atchison’s haunted houses or haunted trolley tours.
Participants pay an entrance fee and are then free to enjoy the Halloween experience.
For students who love to get out of town and see other places or bigger city events, several surrounding towns throw themed Halloween fests and there are haunted houses in several locations open to the public.
For example Worlds of Fun in Kansas City is currently hosting Halloween Haunts at the park which includes haunted mazes, sinister scare zones, live shows, and specialty food and drink. No matter how you like to celebrate the holiday, the Halloween thrills await you.
