The Nest, a new convenience store on campus this year, provides students with many options for food and supplies on the go.
It is located on the second level of the JPII Student Center, previously home to the Grab and Go.
The store has many food items for students including snacks, beverages and microwaveable dinners. There is also over-the-counter medicines and paper supplies.
Cathy White, an employee at The Nest, says students seem to really enjoy the store.
“They seem really excited about it. We have had a lot of people come in just to look around, they’re all excited, and we’ve had a lot of sales,” White said.
This new place on campus gives students the opportunity to grab certain items they need without going off campus. Students will not have to wait for food to be made. If they get a frozen food item, there is a microwave available for them to use.
Meal swipes will not be used at this location. At this store, students can purchase an item with dining dollars, Raven Bucks, cash or credit card.
Kelly Krebs, sophomore, enjoyed her first experience at The Nest.
“I think students who have dining dollars that they don’t normally spend will like it. A lot of people spend money on coffee and things like that but for the ones who don’t drink coffee, this will be a better way of spending their money,” Krebs said.
Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the week.
