The streets of historic Weston, MO will be filled with community and fall festivities as the 35th annual Applefest returns this weekend. Applefest has been the region’s biggest celebration of the harvest season and all things apple.
Put on by the Weston Chamber of Commerce and taking place in the heart of downtown, Applefest invites Weston residents and visitors alike to enjoy two fall-themed days of fun. Attendees can stroll through Apple Alley, full of craft and food vendors, enjoy delicious apple treats and watch the colorful apple-themed parade as it goes through town.
Live music and entertainment will fill the fall air, while the craft and food vendors offer their unique crafts and tasty bites. Children can enjoy the festivities with a selection of games and events just for them, making Applefest a true family outing.
The event, though, is more than just a celebration of the harvest season; it’s also a chance to honor Weston’s rich history and bring about a strong sense of community.
“I would have to say walking around the local stores while drinking a huge lemonade. The environment is so fun and festive. It was cool to connect with the community and run into old friends too,” says Ella Goettemoeller, a student who has attended Applefest, as shares her favorite part of the event.
“The atmosphere; there’s so many people and

things to do. The feeling of fall and excitement are in the air, Seth Wiese adds. Dane Presby echoes this same feeling, describing Applefest as “a very community-based event.”
Whether you’re a Weston resident or a visitor excited to experience this small-town event, Applefest offers a memorable autumnal experience. Mark your calendars for October 4-5 and join the Weston community in welcoming the harvest season with open arms and plenty of apple-filled fun.
