The Ravens are taking on the Vikings to begin this week of Heart action. Benedictine is coming off of an impressive, upset victory over #3 ranked William Penn 97-91 on Saturday. It was the Ravens largest point total this season as junior Matt Austin led the way.
Austin finished with 27 points on 8 of 14 shooting. Also, he was on fire from behind the arc shooting 5 of 7 from the three point line. Point Guard Jaiden Bristol stuffed the stat sheet as he ended the game with 12 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. The Ravens showed poise and determination from the beginning of the game to its conclusion in a game that WPU never led.
The Ravens will need to stay focused against Grand View and avoid a WPU hangover. This season, teams are 9-9 in their next game after playing William Penn.
The Opponent
Grand View comes into their game against BC with a record of 6-13. But, the Vikings have started to find their groove. They have won three of their past four games with wins against Graceland, Culver-Stockten and Central Methodist.
Vikings center Nana Kodom-Aysensu will be pivotal for the Vikings success against Coach Ryan Moody’s squad. The 6-foot-6-inch center did not play against the Ravens in their first matchup this season where BC won 69-57. He is averaging over 10 points in his 12 games of action this season. If he stays out of foul trouble, he could be a real disruptor for the Ravens offense that has feasted in the lane. The Ravens have averaged 38 points per game in the paint over the past five games.
Vikings Projected Starting Lineup:
