The Ravens return to action after the Thanksgiving break to face Grand View Vikings. The Ravens are on a three game win streak. The Ravens sit in 3rd place in the Heart with a record of 4-5 including 3-1 in Heart play.
Last game, the Ravens defeated Missouri Valley 75-70 in a back and forth game that came down to closing minutes. Junior Matt Austin led the team with 30 points. He was firing from the three point line shooting 6-12 and 11-22 from the field. However, Jaiden Bristol’s three point shot in the closing minutes sealed the win for the Ravens. It was his only bucket of the night, but the most crucial.
Against the Vikings, the Ravens are going to need the height of sophomore Tyson Cathy to disrupt a Grand View team that plays their small lineup for majority of the game.
The Opponent
Grand View is led by long time Head Coach Denis Schaefer who is in his 22nd year at the helm. The Vikings are 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Heart play so far this season. The Vikings played five guards in their last game against Mount Mercy where the Vikings lost 80-65. Junior Drew Johnson and senior Landon Rash are the main focal points for Grand View. These two will be the main scoring and passing threats for the Vikings who are in need of a Heart win.
