The Ravens return to action this week against Heart competitor, Missouri Valley College. Benedictine has won their last two games against Mount Mercy and Baker. Sophomore Jayden Temme led the way for the Ravens last game. He finished with 20 points, his highest total for the season. Temme shot 4 of 5 from three and grabbed 5 rebounds to help the Ravens defeat Mount Mercy 76-64.
The Opponent
The Vikings are coached by Chad Lance who is in his 13th season at the helm of the Missouri Valley College basketball team. Lance, the winningest coach in program history, will look to his senior leaders to help propel the team to victory. The Vikings are an experienced squad with four of the five projected starters in their senior year.
Last week, the Vikings fell to Heart powerhouse, William Penn, 107-86. Senior forward Darrell Watson finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, but he did foul out towards the end of the game. Watson’s height and length could pose a major problem against the Ravens. He stands 6-foot-4-inches tall and is capable of handling the ball with his athletic style of play. Watson will be the man the Ravens will need to shut down in order to defeat the Vikings.
