The Ravens return home for the annual homecoming game against Central Methodist University Eagles. The Ravens have lost two games in a row for the first time since 2016. Benedictine’s of- fense is out of sorts only scoring an average of 14 points in the past two games. Once again, Benedictine will rely on senior running back Marquis Stewart to propel the offense to victory. The defense of the Ravens has been rock solid this season. They have recorded an interception in five of the seven games this year. The defense will be needed to cause turnovers to stall a CMU team that is looking to crash the Ravens homecoming party.
The Opponent
The Eagles come into this game with a record of 4-2-1 on the season. They are coached by David Calloway who has a 12-26-1 record in his four years at the helm. Calloway has had his most suc- cessful season this year coaching CMU. CMU has already tied the most wins they have had un- der Calloway. Last week, the Eagles were able to defeat Missouri Valley College 33-20 in their most impressive win this season. Quarterback Jordan Williams and running back Kaylon John- son provide the Eagles with their most potent attack. Williams is averaging 154 yards per game along with throwing 7 touchdowns in seven games. Johnson is the main threat to the Ravens de- fense. He has 8 touchdowns on the season averaging just under 100 yards per game. The defense of the Eagles is led by Anthony Hernandez. He guards the middle of the field using his 5 foot 9 inch, 200 pound body. He is the leading tackler on the team with 66 total tackles. Hernandez is a pivotal part to the Eagles if they want to stop a Ravens offense looking to get back on track and into the win column.
