No. 2 Benedictine will be taking on the Pride of Clarke University during the annual Family Weekend. Ravens return home after a 48-17 victory over Peru State last weekend.
Senior running back Marquis Stewart rushed for 253 yards on 18 carries adding 4 touchdowns. His highlight play came in the first quarter when he gashed the Bobcat defense for a 77 yard touchdown.
Senior quarterback Shaefer Schuetz balanced out the attack with pure accuracy. He threw for 13 of 16 passes for 202 yards for the Ravens. The offense will need Stewart and Schuetz to shutdown the Pride defense who are looking for the major upset.
The Opponent
This is the first ever season for Clarke University. They are led by Head Coach Miguel Regalado who has a long history with the Heart of America Athletic Conference. He was an assistant with Baker University for seven years prior to taking a job with the Pride.
Regalado will look to true freshman quarterback Kenyon Williams to lead the Pride on Saturday. Previous starting quarterback, junior Tim Evitt, suffered a season ending injury against Missouri Valley College two weeks ago. The offensive line will need to protect their quarterback to have any chance against the strong defensive line of the Ravens.
On defense, junior linebacker Michael Nacnac will have his hands full against the Ravens rushing game. Nacnac and his defense have given up 11 rushing touchdowns and a total of 469 yds/g this season.
#14 QB Kenyon Williams- 32 yds/g passing; 0 TDs; 5 INTs
#7 RB Brian McKenzie- 41 yds/g rushing; 0 TDs
#3 LB Michael Nacnac- 22 total tkls; 2 total TFL
