Congrats Ravens! You’ve survived move-in day, your first few weeks of classes, and (for athletes) long days of practices. But if you’re like me, you’ve probably walked into the Dining Hall at the wrong time or showed up at Benedetto’s after 3 PM on a Friday only to find nothing but empty counters. Don’t worry, you are not alone. Here’s a clear guide to when and where food is available on campus.
Dining Hall (the Café)
Between Elizabeth Hall & JPII Student Center
- Monday through Friday: 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Breakfast: 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM
- Continental: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
- Lunch: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Lite Lunch: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- Dinner: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday and Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Brunch: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Dinner: 4:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Main stations include two hot meal lines featuring rotating proteins and sides (think roasted chicken, pasta, or stir-fry), a grill serving classics like burgers and fried chicken, a pizza oven with fresh pies throughout the day, and a salad buffet with plenty of toppings to mix and match. For your sweet tooth, there’s a pastry and dessert counter, plus an all-day cereal bar. An allergen-friendly section is also available for students with special dietary needs.
The Grille at the Roost
Haverty Center
- Hours: Mon–Fri, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Closed Saturday and Sunday
Diner-style food — burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries. A favorite for late lunches or evening cravings.

The Nest
JPII Student Center, 2nd Floor
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
The Nest is essentially Benedictine’s on-campus convenience store. You’ll find bottled drinks, chips, candy, granola bars, and other snacks, along with everyday essentials like toiletries, school supplies, and even quick grab-and-go options such as sandwiches or microwavable meals Accepts cash/card and Dining Dollars.
Holy Grounds
Haverty Center (inside Raven Roost)

Roasterie-brand coffee shop with study space and plenty of traffic throughout the day. Perfect for sitting down and telling your study partners how much homework you have, but getting none of it done.

Café ’62
Ferrell Academic Center, 2nd Floor
- Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Coffee drinks, smoothies, and quick breakfasts or lunches (muffins, yogurt, sandwiches, salads). Perfect for grabbing a quick caffeine boost between classes but be aware: if you are not their quickly right after your class, you will have a long line.

Benedetto’s
Cray-Seaberg Hall

Monthly rotating menus with fresh themes — Mediterranean, Mexican street food, Sandwich deli, and more. Large dining area to accommodate a big lunch and dinner with you and all your friends.

Behind the scenes, Benedictine partners with Elior Collegiate Dining (Previous Aladin), whose mission is to “Break the cycle of stale, scripted menus and cookie-cutter dining services. Every campus has a unique ecosystem, and your students aren’t just eating; they’re living, learning, and experiencing their world through food.”
